This film won the Palm d'Or at Cannes in 2009. I was wary at first, since it had no actors I'd heard of, and took place in a French prison, but I had to watch it over again. The French was so slurred and full of slang, not to mention prison patois, that it could have been Ruthenian. In fact, it was mixed with Corsican and Arabic. But who cares - what a movie! Intense, brutal and, when Luciani is involved, scary. I highly recommend it. Available streamed from Netflix.
